📜 Educational Qualifications & Eligibility Requirements

Upper Age Limit: 30 Years as on 30th April 2026 for General (UR) & EWS candidates.

Category-wise Age Relaxation:

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
  • SC / ST: 5 Years
  • PwBD (General-UR): 10 Years
  • PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 Years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
  • Maximum age limit for candidates availing age relaxation cannot exceed 56 years on 30-April-2026. No age bar for CIL/Subsidiary employees.

Educational Qualification:

  • Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering: Regular full-time B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc (Engg.) in the relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • System: Recognized 1st Class Degree in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / I.T. or MCA with 1st Class.
  • Electronics & Telecommunication (E&T): BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
  • Geology: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.
  • Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with minimum 60% marks, and Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks.
  • Company Secretary: Graduate in any discipline with CS qualification and Associate/Fellow membership of ICSI.

Note: Minimum qualifying marks are relaxed by 5% (i.e. 55% minimum) for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.

⚖ Scheme of Examination & Selection Criteria

  • Computer Based Online Test (CBT): The exam will be of 3 hours duration in one sitting consisting of two papers: Paper-I & Paper-II. Each paper carries 100 marks.
  • Paper-I: Consists of General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General English (100 MCQs, 1 mark each).
  • Paper-II: Consists of Professional Knowledge (Discipline related - 100 MCQs, 1 mark each).
  • There is no penalty for wrong answers (No negative marking).
  • Qualifying Marks: General (UR) / EWS requires minimum 40 marks in each paper; OBC (NCL) requires minimum 35 marks in each paper; SC / ST / PwD requires minimum 30 marks in each paper.
  • Document Verification (DV) & Initial Medical Examination (IME): Candidates shortlisted on merit will be called for document verification and initial medical assessment.

  4. Fill out the registration form with precise details. No changes are permitted after submission.
  5. Upload the scanned copies of required documents in PDF format, including your photo and signature in JPG/JPEG format as per the specified dimensions.
  6. Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₹ 1180/- (General/OBC/EWS) online. SC/ST/PwBD and CIL employees are exempted from payment.
  7. Submit the application form and print a copy of the application form and payment acknowledgement slip for future reference.
